Chris Purslow completed his apprenticeship in the trade many years ago at Nobles in Castleford and from there went on to work for Poskits in Knottingley for 3 years.

After redundancies at the company, fate took its turn and Birstall Premier Paving was founded! In 2003 Chris's company was growning & growing and proud of his work, he applied to become part of the coveted Marshalls register. Chris's work was checked, assessed and examined by Marshalls and they were more than happy to add Birstall Premier Paving to their register.

Chris found Birstall Premier Paving was growing out his control and soon had to employ more installers to join Birstall Premier Paving. It wasn't long before the word got out of West Yorkshire about Birstall Premiers sterling work and Chris had no option but to expand in to the South and North of Yorkshire and some of his work has even been seen as far as Lancashire.

As part of the Marshalls register, Chris and his team have to be assessed each year and attend regular courses to ensure that his work is keeping to the same standard that it has always been at.

The team have just completed a course in installing permeable paving which adds yet another bow to the extensive knowledge in paving, landscapes, fencing, and much more.

"Myself and Diane live in a converted barn with a really large driveway. The drive was tarmaced and well, I don't like tarmac! I thought getting anyone to rip up the tarmac and block pave it for me would be near enough impossible or I would have to take a second mortgage.
